Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara - Great Wildebeest Migration Afternoon Safari
Our professional safari guide will meet you at JKIA when you land in the morning (if you are already in Nairobi, we will pick you up from the Nairobi hotel or any other location). The guide will welcome you to your exclusive safari land cruiser and transfer you to Masai Mara National Reserve or Wilson Airport, if you opt for the flying Kenya migration safari packages.
We recommend a flight from Nairobi to Masai Mara for family holidays and explorers who want to avoid the 6-hour drive. Road transfers are suitable for those who want cheap Masai Mara safari packages. We will take off to your exclusive safari land cruiser early in the morning after a cup of freshly brewed coffee or chai (Kenyan tea). For the next 7 to 8 hours, you will watch as the animals fight each other to make it across and enjoy fresh pasture.
You will also get deeper into the jungle to see the situation beyond the river. Herbivores have plenty of grass now that the rains have fallen, and giraffes have the juiciest of leaves thanks to the new sprouts.

From July, something spectacular happens in East Africa – the Masai Mara Migration kick-starts. During the event, over 1.5 million wildebeests, more than 200,000 zebras, and different species of antelopes will move from Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya.
The migrating herd covers a distance of over 2,000 miles, only to reach the Mara-Serengeti border between the end of June.
