The Detailed 5 Nights, 6 Days Kenya Tour Packages from India Itinerary
Our guides are all born and raised in Kenya, and we promise to show you the splendid beauty of our country better than anyone else. Without further ado, here is the detailed Kenya tour package from Chennai, Mumbai, Kerala, and other cities Itinerary.
Day 1: Pickup from JKIA, Cycling at Hell’s Gate, Boat Ride at Lake Naivasha, & Walking Safari at Crescent Island
Your private tour guide will be right there to pick you up from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport immediately after landing. We always arrive on time, so you can be sure someone is waiting for you when you come to Nairobi.
After the safari briefing, your six days safari in Kenya will start with a visit to Hell’s Gate National Park. The park is located 116 km from Nairobi, about a 1.5-hour journey by road. So, the aim is to start the trip early, around 7 am.
You will notice the change of scenery as we move from Nairobi to Hell’s Gate, which is found south of Lake Naivasha at the Great Rift Valley. You stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for a chance to freeze those moments. Remember to carry your camera.
You get to the Hell’s Gate National Park at around 9 am, giving you enough time to enjoy its awesomeness while cycling. The first half of our time is spent admiring this great scenery. First, the two towers, Fischer and the Central tower. The latter is a 25m tower, popular for its beautiful park overview.
You also visit the three geothermal stations that offer great learning opportunities for lovers of science and nature. There’s a lot here in terms of scenery, including water-gouged gorges, rocky towers, scrub-covered volcanoes, and hot springs.
Soon, it will be around noon, the perfect time to head to the hotel for check-in and lunch. The afternoon will see you head to Lake Naivasha. Here you will enjoy a boat ride, usually accompanied by a visit to Crescent Island; ensure your trip to Kenya from India includes this walking safari.
A boat ride at Lake Naivasha is so beautiful. The water is still, and the scenery is just gorgeous. You can even see some hippos and waterbucks. After the boat ride, you will head on a walking safari at Crescent Island. It was really cool to see all the animals up close and personal. Some animals here include giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and others.
Day 2: Transfer to Lake Nakuru & Game Drives at Lake Nakuru National Park
1.5-hr from Lake Naivasha lies a wildlife sanctuary hidden among tall woods and bushy grasslands; the Lake Nakuru National Park. The park has thousands of attractions, the first being its unique vegetation, which includes an estimated 550 diverse plant species, the euphoria forest, and acacia woodlands.
You go on a game ride, trying to uncover the 56 different wildlife species that rise in the park. Expect to see waterbucks, black and white rhinos, cheetahs, lions, leopards, and giraffes. At 25, the black rhino population in the park is among the highest in the country.
Within an arm’s reach lies Lake Nakuru, a sensational water body known to some as the pink lake for its staggering amounts of flamingoes. The kingfisher, goliath heron, and Verreaux’s eagle are some of the 450 different avid species you should expect to see.
The scenery here is brilliant on a scale of magnificent. Viewpoints such as the Out of Africa, lion Hill, and Baboon cliff help highlight this brilliance. Adding to this appeal are the Lion hill ridge, East, and the honeymoon. The Makalia waterfall is on a whole other level of spectacular, and we will show it to you.
Day 3: Transfer to Masai Mara & Afternoon Game Drive at Masai Mara National Reserve
Masai Mara is remarkable, which is why it is almost ever-present in our Kenya tour itinerary. Masai Mara Kenya tour packages from India usually include a 5-hr drive from Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara. You arrive around noon, check in, and then head for an afternoon game drive.
Afternoon game drives are a great way to experience the Masai Mara National Reserve. You’ll have the opportunity to see some of the reserve’s most famous residents, including lions, elephants, and leopards. And, as the sun begins to set, you’ll be able to enjoy the stunning views of the African plains.
Day 4: Full-Day Game Drive at Masai Mara National Reserve with Packed Lunch
Mara is the best safari destination in Africa for various reasons. First, its wildlife variety and population are unmatched. Our guide drives you through its landscape, seeking over 450 wildlife species.
The big five (lions, leopards, buffaloes, rhinos, and elephants) are a must-spot. Also present are the hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, foxes, gazelles, wildebeests, elands, zebras, impalas, giraffes, and duikers. A tour from July to October will allow you to experience the popular wildebeest migration.
The event, watched by millions worldwide, involves the movement of thousands of zebras, wildebeests, Topi, gazelles, and elands to Masai Mara from Serengeti. It sees you combine Kenya-Tanzania tour packages from India without leaving the Mara.
The over 450 bird species in the park will be of interest to the bird watchers in our Kenya wildlife safari from India. Expect to see vultures, hornbills, secretary birds, and cranes.
During your game drive, your guide will help you spot wildlife and tell you about the different animals that call the reserve home. You’ll also learn about the reserve’s ecology and how it supports a diverse range of wildlife.
Day 5: Optional Hot Air Balloon Safari/Full-Day Game Drive at Masai Mara with Packed Lunch
Nothing shouts fun louder than a Mara hot-air balloon ride. It is an unforgettable experience, and there are few better places to enjoy one than the Masai Mara National Reserve. This spectacular setting is home to a diverse array of wildlife, and you’ll have the chance to see it all from a unique perspective.
As you gently float above the savannah, you’ll be able to spot lions, elephants, and other animals in their natural habitat. You’ll also get an unforgettable view of the sun rising over the plains. Whether you’re an animal lover or simply looking for an unforgettable experience, a hot air balloon ride at the Masai Mara National Reserve will surely exceed your expectations.
The experience ends with a champagne bush breakfast followed by game drives until evening.
Day 6: Optional Morning Game Drive, Visit a Maasai Village, and Transfer to Nairobi
After breakfast, you will check out and then head for a morning game drive at an extra cost for park fee. The early morning game drive is one of the most popular activities at Masai Mara National Reserve. You often see these animals up close during the game drive.
In addition to seeing wildlife, the game drive also provides an opportunity to see the beautiful landscapes of the reserve. The game drive typically lasts for two to three hours. From here, you head to a Maasai village.
Located in the heart of Kenya’s Masai Mara, the Maasai village is a must-visit for any traveler to the region. The Maasai are a proud and traditional people, and the village provides a rare opportunity to see life as it has been lived for centuries.
When you enter the village, you will be greeted with a warm welcome from the Maasai people. During your visit, you will have the chance to learn about their way of life, see their traditional dwellings, and even participate in a traditional dance.
