Day 1: Pickup from JKIA, Cycling at Hell’s Gate, Boat Ride at Lake Naivasha, & Walking Safari at Crescent Island 

Your private tour guide will be right there to pick you up from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport immediately after landing. We always arrive on time, so you can be sure someone is waiting for you when you come to Nairobi.

After the safari briefing, your six days safari in Kenya will start with a visit to Hell’s Gate National Park. The park is located 116 km from Nairobi, about a 1.5-hour journey by road. So, the aim is to start the trip early, around 7 am.

You will notice the change of scenery as we move from Nairobi to Hell’s Gate, which is found south of Lake Naivasha at the Great Rift Valley. You stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for a chance to freeze those moments. Remember to carry your camera.

You get to the Hell’s Gate National Park at around 9 am, giving you enough time to enjoy its awesomeness while cycling. The first half of our time is spent admiring this great scenery. First, the two towers, Fischer and the Central tower. The latter is a 25m tower, popular for its beautiful park overview.

You also visit the three geothermal stations that offer great learning opportunities for lovers of science and nature. There’s a lot here in terms of scenery, including water-gouged gorges, rocky towers, scrub-covered volcanoes, and hot springs. 

Soon, it will be around noon, the perfect time to head to the hotel for check-in and lunch. The afternoon will see you head to Lake Naivasha. Here you will enjoy a boat ride, usually accompanied by a visit to Crescent Island; ensure your trip to Kenya from India includes this walking safari.

A boat ride at Lake Naivasha is so beautiful. The water is still, and the scenery is just gorgeous. You can even see some hippos and waterbucks. After the boat ride, you will head on a walking safari at Crescent Island. It was really cool to see all the animals up close and personal. Some animals here include giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and others.

Day 2: Transfer to Lake Nakuru & Game Drives at Lake Nakuru National Park

1.5-hr from Lake Naivasha lies a wildlife sanctuary hidden among tall woods and bushy grasslands; the Lake Nakuru National Park. The park has thousands of attractions, the first being its unique vegetation, which includes an estimated 550 diverse plant species, the euphoria forest, and acacia woodlands.

You go on a game ride, trying to uncover the 56 different wildlife species that rise in the park. Expect to see waterbucks, black and white rhinos, cheetahs, lions, leopards, and giraffes. At 25, the black rhino population in the park is among the highest in the country.

Within an arm’s reach lies Lake Nakuru, a sensational water body known to some as the pink lake for its staggering amounts of flamingoes. The kingfisher, goliath heron, and Verreaux’s eagle are some of the 450 different avid species you should expect to see.

The scenery here is brilliant on a scale of magnificent. Viewpoints such as the Out of Africa, lion Hill, and Baboon cliff help highlight this brilliance. Adding to this appeal are the Lion hill ridge, East, and the honeymoon. The Makalia waterfall is on a whole other level of spectacular, and we will show it to you.
