The Detailed 3 Days, 2 Nights Easter in Kenya Safari Itinerary 

Easter weekend safaris are usually more affordable than visiting the Masai Mara during the migration season. There are fewer people, which translates to low demand for accommodation. What should you expect during your 2 Nights Masai Mara Safari during the easter weekend? 

Day 1: Welcome to Kenya, Pickup from Nairobi, Transfer to Mara, & Afternoon Game Drive 

Our professional safari guide will be waiting to welcome you to Kenya or to pick you up from your hotel or residence an hour before the designated departure time to Masai Mara. We recommend you book a flight that lands in Kenya in the morning. 

You can take a 45 minutes flight to Masai Mara or take the road (which we highly recommend because it will allow you to experience the magical Kenya road trip). If you take the road, you will rest in your hotel at Masai Mara within 5-6 hours. 

You will cover a distance of about 260 KM that will give you the scenery, history, and culture of Kenya firsthand. You depart from Nairobi and head toward Narok, where we will arrive within 2 hours. It will be our second stop to allow you to take in the culture of the town’s natural beauty and interact with the locals.

The first stop is made a few kilometers past the city at the Great Rift Valley, which offers a stunning view when standing on the Viewpoint. Everything is breathtaking; take your camera with you.  You can buy some handmade ornaments for remembrance along the way. 

There are also hotels and malls where we can make a quick pit stop. You head straight to Masai Mara for your Easter in Kenya celebration. Our safari guide will help you check in to your chosen accommodation and leave you to freshen, take lunch, and relax for a while.

Day one of your 2 Nights Masai Mara Easter Itinerary is not over until you head out for a late afternoon game drive.  This starts at around 3 pm to late evening. 

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive at Masai Mara National Reserve with Packed Lunch

Your day two of the 3 Days Easter Masai Mara Safari will see you wake up to the sounds of the African bush in this beautiful home away from home. The advantage of visiting Masai Mara National Reserve for your Ester holiday is that you will view the abundant wildlife. 

You will also participate in activities restricted in other national parks in Kenya, such as walking safaris and more. We can also arrange bush dinner and hot air balloon ride upon request and at an extra cost. 

After breakfast, you shall spend an entire day exploring Masai Mara’s game reserves for a glimpse of elephants, cheetahs, leopards, lions, and plenty of buffalos. You’ll also catch a glimpse of other unusual wild animals, including hippos, warthogs, zebras, giraffes, and so much more! 

The safari guide shall also drive past a few small streams that create enchanting natural features cascading into ivy springs, feeding the lush valley and the animals. After a long day in the wilderness, you shall return to the hotel.

Day 3: Optional Morning Game Drive, Visit a Maasai Village, and Transfer to Nairobi

After a delicious breakfast, it’s sadly time to pack and head out for one final game drive (WHEN STAYING INSIDE THE RESERVE) . You will enjoy this drive until 9 am and head to a Maasai village to learn about their culture.  Your 3 days easter safari itinerary will end with a transfer to Nairobi.  We hope you have enjoyed your Easter in Kenya and see you soon.
